The enormous rubble left by the tragic earthquake in Turkey saw previous Newcastle United and Everton winger Christian Atsu being pulled alive from it.

Verified by his present club Hatayspors vice president, the Ghana global was buried under the debris, being amongst the thousands reported missing in the middle of devastataion.

The 7.8 magnitude quake brought down countless structures, eliminating thousands, in several Turkish and Syrian cities on Monday.

Christian Atsu was pulled out hurt.

Our sporting director, Taner Savut, is unfortunately still under the rubble, Hatayspor vice president Mustafa Ozak told Radyo Gol.The 31-year-old Atsu was on loan from Chelsea when he plied his sell the Premier League clubs Newcastle United and EvertonHe signed up with Hatayspor last September and last represented Ghana in 2019.(With agench inputs)
